Cascading Bouquets are coming back into style

I just love this bouquet. Bride's request in general way, Middle(wo)man: Me, I oversee the design as it should look. Executioner: Carlos Camara, a recent winner of Floral Design Competition in California.

Hot Lady Orbs on Crystal Candelabras

These pomanders were used here and moved to reception as centerpieces into 9" cylinders. See the sketch example from an earlier blog.

These hot pink / fuchsia color roses are called "Hot Lady." They are truly beautiful and the fragrance... is amazing.

The sketch below were aisle pomanders transported here as centerpieces but they weren't finished yet so I don't have pictures of them.

Elvis: Tribute to my Loving Cat

She was a loving companion for 18.5 years and she went to Cat Heaven on Monday September 28, 2009 at the ripe age of 19 years & 1 month, exact birth date unknown.

She came into my life because her 1st owner had too many DUI's & went to jail. I thought I would take care of her until she served her time in 6 months but Elvis won my heart in 2 weeks. In the beginning she was not a lap cat & kept her distance but soon we were inseparable. In her later years she slept on my chest.

How could I not love her! All these are recent digital camera pictures. I need to go find her baby pictures somewhere...

In the winter she grew heavier & thicker coat, signs of wild mix but she was gentle, loving, & playful.

She did not like my room mate's cat on her bed but she tolerated it... what a good kitty!

Kim's Centerpiece Photos

A beautiful combination of colors & flowers. The stocks are so fragrant, too.

White & Purple Tulip Centerpiece

This centerpiece will have more flowers on top with stocks, dendrobiums, and lisianthus. We will be doing dendrobium strands for this wedding. Hopefully they won't strangle the bride on the Pacific bluff.

Starlet Bride: Kim

Kim, a Beautiful Bride!
Husband & Wife! Handsome couple.

Kim and her bride's maids.

Starlet Bride: Kim, photos sent by Kim

Kim is naturally so beautiful. She doesn't even need any make-up. Purple & Ivory is a great color combination.

The arch flowers match the drawing pretty closely... usually they go through so much changes that they look nothing like the preliminary drawings... but here just a bit.

Adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanna run to them & hug them like little teddy bears!

To Tiara or Not to Tiara

I wanted sparklies and gems in my hair without wearing a princessy tiaras. So I purchased a strand of freshwater pearls and asked the hair dresser to pin them in the back of my bee hive. They matched well with my other inexpensive purchases. Photo by Jabez Photography.

Finally! Back on On-Line Again!

I felt like I was in the Medieval Ages without internet connection. But, now I am back & twice the fast, supposedly.

Twinkling Lilacs

They were so gorgeous out in the field, I couldn't resist. I went out there in the middle of the night with my shear and clip, clip, & clip... (see below, where they ended up)
Not bad for an old Canon G3 which is only 4 mp.

In my dorm room! Shame on me. Taking flowers that don't belong to me but I have never seen them in real growing trees in California! So while I was away in midwest...

I hope no one recognizes the location?!

Cattleya Orchid

I bought this cattleya orchid when it was a 2 stick plant for $12. After 5 years of watering, feeding, caring, and talking to it, surprise! it blossomed this single beautiful fragrant pink flower. After the blossom died off, so did the plant. Where did I go wrong?!

J S's Wedding at Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills CA

Shimmering metallic grey ribbon tied handle accented with faux pearls. I love the shot... clear focus in the center and soft edges. http://www.dukeimages.com

Unique bouquet by Gerry Toh, AIFD: Roses, Lisianthus, Calla Lilies, and  Hydrangeas

One of the most beautiful brides... Jennifer, all smiles...

Large Peonies

After a heavy rain these peonies were bashful. The large peony blossoms were too heavy to stand straight. All the heads were hanging low. Still soooo beautiful!

Cindellela Slippers

My Cindellela slippers from David's Bridal. They were affordable and comfortable for the night. I no longer can wear them... my teething puppy chewed up the straps to the point where I can't even drag them around. http://www.davidsbridal.com

Pink Peonies

Want Peonies for your wedding but cannot afford them? Consider just for your bouquet.  You can have your favorite flower in your wedding but it doesn't have to break your bank account.

Arbors

So much confusion between Arbor & Pergola. I had a general idea but I was more confused every time I surf the web. With lots of reading, researching, talking to AIFD personnels, & this simple video from Fine Remodel helped so much!
